This Privacy Policy explains how Music Time Machine collects, uses, stores, and deletes information when you use the app.

Summary

Music Time Machine lets you connect Spotify or Apple Music, generate playlists from historical data, and optionally schedule playlist refreshes.

To support these features, the app stores limited account-linked data on your device and on our backend. You can delete app-managed account data from inside the app.

Information We Collect

Account information

Music Time Machine creates a lightweight backend account for app features such as playlist history, schedules, subscriptions, and account deletion.

Depending on how you use the app, we may store:

• A backend user ID.
• A display name.
• An email address, if you sign up with email/password or Apple provides one.
• An Apple-issued Sign in with Apple identifier, if you sign in with Apple.
• Session records used to keep you signed in.
• Admin status for accounts allowed to view local troubleshooting diagnostics.

Guest accounts do not require personally identifying information. You can upgrade a guest account to a full account without intentionally losing app-owned playlists, schedules, or linked-service state.

Connected music-service information

When you connect a music service, we may receive or store:

• Your Spotify user ID and Spotify display name.
